ChartWorksPUBLISHED BY INSTITUTIONAL ADVISORS July 7th, 2008 Technical observations of RossClark@shaw.ca Crude Oil into Exhaustion Mode The oil market is generating the first monthly upside exhaustion readings since 1979 and the first weekly exhaustion readings since the invasion of Kuwait in August of 1990. We have been watching for a seasonal correction and these overbought readings should be enough to provide vulnerability. The daily charts suggest that support should be found around the 34-day Bollinger Band (currently $122.50) and more importantly around the 50-week moving average (currently $103).
